Hey it has been a while. I really wanted to post something to back pedal on the last post Just One More Prompt…
Let’s just say something happened in December of 2025 that the tool calling and the long-running agents has finally became stable. I’m all in on “Agentic Engineering” (vibe coding) again. I was wrong, it won’t be the last time. It’s not often you spend your entire life studying and grinding and in the span of one year the machine is better than you. Ego.
Anyways, what has happened in the last 9 months since the last post? I finished up my masters and recorded a nice demo of what we accomplished with the autonomous mobile robotics platform we have been working on:
We put together a little mini conference to fill in the gaps of the first conference and go through all the material to get people familiar with the platform. If you are interested in the workshop for Sim2Real please visit https://goatconf.us.
What else happened?
- Attended my first NVIDIA GTC
- Continued doing the AI Builders and GOAT meetups which are growing and almost at facility capacity
- Got my RV going and took a few trips
- General catchup on all the books, tv, and family relationships I have neglected while death marching to finish the masters.
It is kind of hard to believe it has been 2 years since I left Qualcomm. I have mixed emotions, but I still think it was the right move for growth. Seeing the market for programming jobs now gives me pause. Thankfully I have a support network and a few gigs that I can pickup through my company Reality Web Services.
That being said I’m trying to chart a path forward to continue our research in robotics and physical AI. I hope to start posting again regularly as I have some opinions on agentic workflows.
I’m also building a new AR4 arm… But this is on the back burner for now, we are working on the racer still and then I will jump back to it this fall.
Thank you for your attention and let me know if you have anything you’d like to hear about more. I am most active on LinkedIn now: https://www.linkedin.com/company/reality-web-services/
